New Year's Thoughts
  January 2nd, 2009

To My Dear Students,

At the start of a new secular year, I recommend to you the following resolutions:

I will seek elegance rather than luxury, inner refinement rather than external fashion.

I will seek worth in character and not in money, wealth in relationships and not in riches.

I will seek to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, and act honestly.

I will seek to bear all things cheerfully, do all things bravely, bow in humility and rise to every occasion.

I will seek to see the spiritual in every common thing, G-d in every person, and the possibilities in every experience.

Shabbat Shalom,

Rabbi Miller
