Shabbat Services held in the TBY Warsaw Family Outdoor Amphitheater

  Celebrating Shabbat at TBY

Shabbat is the Jewish oasis in time. This 25-hour period (from 18 minutes prior to sunset Friday night until approximately 45 minutes after sundown on Saturday night) is a gift from G-d that invites us to take a pause in our hectic and demanding lives. Shabbat Services begin at 6:00 PM every Friday, throughout this year.

  Family Shabbat Service

A special Family Shabbat dinner is held the first Friday night of the month at 6::00pm (reservations required) followed by services in the beautiful Robert T. Morgan Chapel. The Junior Choir enhances this intimate service which is designed for families with Religious School children and will feature a special story and blessing from our Rabbi.

  Yahrzeit Service
On the second Friday night of each month, 45 minutes prior to the main service, there is a special Yahrzeit service led by the rabbi. Honoring the memory of a loved on is a powerful and important tradition in Judaism. This service sets aside a time and space for individuals or families who will observe a yahrzeit anytime during the month. We join together to light memorial candles, to read special prayers and poems, and to share stories and memories about our loved ones.

  Simchat Shabbat

A Musical Rejoicing of the Sabbath. Third Friday of the month at 6:00 pm starting in October, this lively yet soulful service will feature our Cantor, TBY Simcha band and/or Adult Choir. The music is of varied styles from klezmer, jazz, rock, Ladino and Yiddish genres.

  Mini-Minyan (Tot Shabbat)

Held the third Friday evening of each month in the Margolis Youth Lounge at 6:00 PM, the service is led Early Childhood Education Director Karen Albert, along with our TBY songleader. Families with children (0-5) are invited to celebrate Shabbat together with song, stories and activities.

  Shabbat (Saturday) Morning

Bar or Bat Mitzvah—10:30 AM in the Sonenshine Sanctuary

  TBY Minyan

Temple Bat Yahm offers a clergy and lay-led service every Shabbat morning in the Robert T. Morgan Chapel at 10:30 AM, immediately following Torah Study. The Service, which encourages full participation, and emphasizes music and singing, includes Torah and Haftarah readings, and Kaddish. On the second Shabbat of the month, we gather together after Services for a dairy potluck lunch and more singing. This service is open to anyone who wishes to join us in prayer. We appreciate your attendance to insure a minyan every week.
